Chelsea are preparing to table a record breaking £65 million bid for Everton’s star striker Romelu Lukaku according to The Mirror.
Per the source, the Blues are planning to break the British transfer record for the Belgium international striker. The report also states that Chelsea are prepared to include Loic Remy in the deal.
The the deal goes though, Lukaku will be more expensive than Manchester United’s Angel Di Maria transfer who cost the Red Devils £59.7m when he joined from Real Madrid two years ago, according to BBC Sport.
Everton are however, in no rush to sell considering they still have a contract with Lukaku for the next three seasons. The Daily Star state that the Blues have already had bids of £57 and £60m turned down.
The 23-year-old joined the Toffees in a £28 million move (fee reported by BBC Sport) from Chelsea in 2014 and scored 25 times in 46 appearances last season.
