Chelsea set to offer out-of-favour striker in part-exchange deal for £65m target

Chelsea are set to offer out-of-favour striker Loic Remy in a part-exchange deal for Everton target Romelu Lukaku according to the Express.

Per the source, the Blues are considering offering Remy as part of the deal which could fetch £65 million.

The Toffees turned down the Blues initial £57 million offer over the weekend but the London based outfit remain determined to sign the Belgium international.

If the Belgium striker were to be used as a bargaining chip in an exchange deal it would signal Spanish international forward Diego Costa staying at the club.

Lukaku reportedly wants to return to Chelsea but Everton do not want to accept an offer below their £75 million asking price.

The powerful striker is no stranger to Chelsea having originally joined the Toffees from the Blues back in 2012.

The 23 year old striker has gone onto score 45 times over the past two seasons and is top of the Blues transfer shortlist this summer.
