Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reported to have consulted the advice of West Ham head coach Slaven Bilic regarding Besiktas star Oguzhan Ozyakup according to Talksport.
Per the source, Mourinho quizzed Bilic about his former player who the Croatian manager coached for two seasons during his time in charge of the club.
Ozyakup started to establish himself as a first-team regular under the stewardship of Bilic and it was not long before he became one of the most sought after players in the league.
Besiktas want to keep hold of Ozyakup over the summer but the Daily Star report states that United are preparing a £20 million move which would match their valuation of the player.
United could however, face competition from Valencia and Arsenal according to Deportivo Valenciano.
The 23-year-old played a key role in Besiktas winning the league title last season puling the strings in midfield.
The Turkish international star – who was born in the Netherlands – scored 10 times and provided eight assists in all competitions for the Black Eagles last season.
