Manchester United are expected to face competition in the race to sign the Turkish international midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup according to the Spanish outlet Deportivo Valenciano.
The report states that Valencia want to sign Ozyakup as a replacement for Andre Gomes who made the move to the La Liga champions Barcelona last month for £41.7 million (DailyStar).
Deportivo Valenciano go onto state that both Manchester United are also keeping tabs on Ozyakup. Turkish Super League broadcaster LigTV go a step furthur, saying United have set aside €20m for the Turkey international.
Per the source, United manager Jose Mourinho has been impressed with the scouting report on Ozyakup and is keen to make a move for the former Arsenal midfielder.
Ozyakup is no stranger to English football having played for Arsenal previously. The 23-year-old scored 10 times and setup eight goals for the Super Lig champions in all competitions last season.
