Liverpool veteran Lucas Leiva has been closely linked with a move to Istanbul giants Galatasaray according to the Milliyet.

Per the source, Lucas is set to earn €2.6 million per-season on a three year deal if he were to make the move and he could earn an additional €400,000 in bonuses.

The report claims that the Brazilian midfielder would be set to earn €15,000 per-match in bonuses up to a 30 game cap which would make him €400,000.

Considering the Brazilian midfielder made 40 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions last season he would have earned the entire bonus had he played for Galatasaray under the terms being offered.

Lucas has however, suffered injury problems over the past few seasons and is currently out for a month with a hamstring strain – although that has not put Galatasaray off.

The 29-year-old is currently the longest serving member of the current Reds side having joined nine years ago from Brazilian giants Gremio

Galatasaray sporting direcotr Leven Nazifoglu sparked further speculation that Lucas is headed for a move to Turkey following his radio interview with Radyospor yesterday.

“If Lucas Leiva puts pen to paper on a deal for Galatasaray it would not be a surprise to be honest,” Nazifoglu said.
