Stoke target to remain at Fenerbahce

Stoke City target Robin van Persie is set to remain at Fenerbahce this season following a meeting between the club and players agent.

The Netherlands international was linked with a move to the Potters by the Mirror. The report also states that Stoke are chasing West Brom striker Saido Berahino.

A source close to the player told Caught-Offside’s Eren Sarigul that Stoke are interested in signing Van Persie on a season-long loan deal however, after a meeting between Van Persie’s agent and Fenerbahce an agreement was reached for the Dutch star to remain at the club.

The 32-year-old has two seasons remaining on his contract with Fenerbahce after joining from Manchester United last summer

Van Persie won the league title with United during his three-seasons at the Red Devils. The former Arsenal man provided three assists and found the back of the net 22 times in 48 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahce season.
