Galatasaray manager Jan Riekerink has made it clear to the board that he wants to strengthen his full-back position over the summer transfer window.
A source close to the club told Emre Sarigul that the Dutch manager has identified the full-back position as in need of strengthening. The Lions have struggled defensively pre-season culminating with conceding five goals against Manchester United last Saturday. Due to the financial constraints the club is under due to the FFP sanctions imposed the Istanbul giants will push for a loan move.
Galatasaray have their eye on out-of-favour Arsenal full-back Mathieu Debuchy on a loan deal.
The French defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Bordeaux and the Ligue 1 outfit are reported to be back in the race for the 31-year-old according to Sky Sports.
The experienced full-back does however, have another three-years remaining on his Arsenal contract but has struggled for playing time at the North London based outfit since joining in July 2014.
