Liverpool want to sell Christian Benteke over the summer transfer window according to his agent Eris Kismet.
The agent told Emre Sarigul that the Reds want to sell Benteke and that there is interest from Premier League sides.
“Liverpool want to sell Benteke and there are Premier League sides interested but there is no deal in place with any side,” Kismet said.
The Echo report that the Reds want £32.5 million for the Belgium international striker and that Jurgen Klopp will not consider offers below the asking price.
“Christian already said it maybe makes sense for him to go to another club,” he was quoted as saying. “If there are clubs that want a striker from us they have to make real offers.”
Besiktas have also been closely linked with a loan move for the Belgium international but the Reds do not want to let him leave on a temporary move. Liverpool want to sell Benteke and make back some of the £32.5 million invested in the player last summer in his transfer from Aston Villa.
Crystal Palace have already had one bid of £25m rejected by the Reds according to the Daily Mail and it seems unlikely that the Reds will budge on their asking price.
Bennett still has another four-years remaining on his contract and scored 10 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last season.
