Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp did not include Christian Benteke in his team going into the Arsenal game in his opening Premier League game of the season.

The Reds went onto the beat the Gunners 4-3 at the Emirates in what was just their second victory in 21 visits to North London.

Klopp left both Benteke and Mario Balotelli out of the team despite having Daniel Sturridge injured in what was a clear declaration that he has no plans for the out-of-favour striker duo this season.

Benteke and Balotelli were not sorely missed as the Reds went onto score four past the Gunners.

The Belgium international has been closely linked with a move to Crystal Palace recently but the Reds want £32 million for his services according to the Mirror.

West Brom have also been linked with the powerful striker as have Besiktas as confirmed by vice-president Ahmet Nur Ceb – but the Istanbul giants want him on loan.

“Benteke is a player we are interested, we are pushing for him and would want him to be transferred to the club.” Cebi revealed to Emre Sarigul.
