Manchester United veteran continues to show class despite cruel Jose Mourinho snub sees him likely to quit club

Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger continues to throw his support behind his teammates despite being ostracised by Jose Mourinho.

The 32-year-old continues to be frozen out by the new United boss, and wasn’t part of the squad that overcame Bournemouth 3-1 on the opening weekend of the Premier League campaign.

With his international teammates questioning the sense behind Mourinho’s actions, it remains to be seen how long he remains at Old Trafford, as ultimately he’ll want to be playing regular football.

Nevertheless, despite the difficult situation in which he is currently in, he continues show his support for the team with messages on Twitter, and that didn’t change on Sunday either before or after the game.

Schweinsteiger saw his opening year in the Premier League disrupted by injuries and loss of form, but it has certainly taken a turn for the worse since Louis van Gaal was replaced by Mourinho earlier this summer.

While it doesn’t appear as though he’ll be able to fight his way back into the team, time will tell whether or not his professionalism and desire to continue to contribute at United goes unnoticed.
