Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reveals whether Mesut Ozil and Koscielny will start against Leicester City

The Gunners could once again be without key names going into this weekends clash against last season’s Premier League champions Leicester City.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted to the official Arsenal website that Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud may miss the encounter. The Gunners are already without Per Mertesacker, Gabriel, Danny Welbeck, Iwobi and Aaron Ramsey due to injury.

The French tactician was quoted on the official Arsenal website as saying: “We will try, but when they have not enough preparation they get injured,” when asked whether the trio will feature on Saturday.

Aaron Ramsey reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016 with Wales but was deemed fit enough to play last weekend. The decision to risk the midfielder did however backfire as he was forced off after 60 minutes.

Koscielny and Giroud reached the Euro 2016 final with France, while Ozil’s Germany made it to the semi-final. Meanwhile,

The former Real Madrid playmaker was included in the provisional squad going into the game against the Liverpool last week but was left out of the match day squad. Ozil is not injured however, Wenger fears that his star man may end up on the sidelines if he is rushed back before he is 100 percent fit.
