Chelsea transfer news: Blues to hold talks over France international

Besiktas president Fikret Orman is set to hold talks with Chelsea over the transfer of the France international Loic Remy according to the daily Turkish newspaper Fanatik.

According to the report, Orman will travel to London this week to hold talks with Chelsea regarding partnership deals between the club and while there he will discuss signing Remy on a season-long loan.

Fanatik goes onto say that the Besiktas president is confident that Chelsea will be willing to loan Remy out as there have been no offers made for a permanent deal. Remy is not expected to feature in Chelsea boss Antonio Conte’s plans this season and was not included in the squad against West Ham.

However, the Mirror states that Besiktas could face competition from the Ligue 1 giants Lyon who are targeting Remy as a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette should Arsenal sign the star striker.

Besiktas are in need of a striker to replace Mario Gomez who has revealed he will not be returning to the club from Fiorentina over the summer.
