Liverpool consider £3m loan bid after Crystal Palace fail to match £32m asking price for striker

Besiktas are hopeful that they will be able to loan Liverpool striker Christian Benteke after the Reds rejected an approach from Crystal Palace according Lig Tv.

Per the source, Black Eagles president Fikret Orman is currently in England holding talks with Liverpool over the possibility of a loan deal.

Besiktas are ready to pay a £3 million loan fee for the striker and are reported to have reached an agreement-in-principle with Liverpool.

The Premier League outfit will however, only loan Benteke if they have yet to find a suitor willing to pay his £32 million asking price going into the last days of the transfer window.

Benteke’s agent Eris Kismet did recently tell Emre Sarigul, that Liverpool’s high asking price is putting clubs off.

“Liverpool want to sell Benteke but clubs that are interested as unable to match his valuation,” Kismet said.

That will be music to Besiktas’ ears as they will have to rely on Benteke’s valuation not being matched if they are to loan the powerful striker.

Besiktas are in pursuit of a striker following Mario Gomez signing for Wolfsburg. The Istanbul giants do also have other targets. A source close to the club told Emre Sarigul that the club are also targeting loan moves for Chelsea’s Loic Remy, Manchester City’s Bony and Porto striker Vincent Aboubakar.
