Arsenal suffer another transfer failure as Player of the Year agrees £25m contract

Arsenal have seen yet another transfer target slip though their fingers after Riyad Mahrez put pen-to-paper on a four year deal with Leicester City according to The Sun.

This is the second time Arsenal have failed to land a Leicester City star after Jamie Vardy’s snubbed a big-money move to Arsenal.

Per-the-source, Mahrez put an end to months of speculation by signing a bumper bumper new four-year deal worth a cool £25million which ties him to Leicester until June 2020.

Furthermore, there is no buy-out clause included in the Algeria international’s contract with the Foxes.

Leicester have managed to navigate the transfer season by losing only one of their key names after N’Golo Kante joined Chelsea for £39 million.

With both Mahrez and Vardy tied down to long-term contracts, Leicester fans can take a giant sigh of relief and look forward to the rest of the season.

Leicester City take on Arsenal this weekend at the King Power stadium.
