Chelsea flop linked with summer exit dropped from squad

Out of favour Chelsea forward Loic Remy was not included in the match day squad in the London derby against West Ham in the Blues first Premier League game of the season.

Chelsea did not end up missing Remy as they won the game at Stamford Bridge by a 2-1 scoreline.

A source close to Besiktas told Emre Sarigul that the club are monitoring Remy’s situation very closely as they continue efforts to sign a replacement of Mario Gomez. The Black Eagles have a shortlist including Liverpool forward Christian Benteke, Remy, Manchester City striker Bony and Porto goalscorer  Porto striker Vincent Aboubakar.

Gomez joined the Eagles on loan from Fiorentina last season and finished the season as top scorer while playing a key role in winning the league title.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman has is reported to be in England set to hold talks with Chelsea over the potential of loaning Remy according to Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik.

The Mirror meanwhile that the Eagles could face competition from French giants Lyon who targeting Remy as a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette should Arsenal sign the star striker.
