Chelsea transfer news: Star striker wants London stay amid speculation from abroad

The Chelsea striker Loid Remy has stated his intention to remain in London if he is to leave the Blues this summer according to the Evening Standard.

Per-the-source, Crystal Palace have received a boost in the race to sign Remy seeing that the France international isn’t looking for a move abroad or back to France.

The news comes as a blow to Besiktas who are interested in singing the France international this summer. According to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik, Besiktas president Fikret Orman is set to hold talks with Chelsea over the transfer of Remy in London this week.

However, the Daily Star state that Crystal Palace are understood to be in pole position to sign Remy. The report states that Palace have turned their attention toward’s Remy after failing to land Liverpool’s Christian Benteke.

The Star also reports that Palace manager Alan Pardew wants to improve his attacking options this summer and the club are willing to use the £28 million they received from the sale of Yannick Bolasie to fund the move for Remy.
