West Ham were held to a 1-1 draw by Romanian outfit Astra Giurgiu in the first-leg of their Europa League playoff clash.
The Hammers took a first half lead after Gokhan Tore’s corner kick was handled by an Astra defender resulting in a penalty which was converted by Noble.
Second half substitute Alibec did however, manage to equalise for Astra giving the Romanian outfit a glimmer of hope going into the return-leg.
We took a look at how West Ham fans responded to the tie on social media.
The Hammers went into the clash with a pretty dismal away record having lost five of their last six European games on the road.
5 – West Ham have lost five of their last six European games away from home, including qualifiers. Departed.

West Ham did however, lead for a large portion of the game following Noble scoring this penalty.

West Ham fans were not best impressed with the state of the pitch over the course of the 90 minutes.

Michail Antonio was the villain last week after conceding a sloppy penalty in the 2-1 defeat against London rivals Chelsea in the opening Premier League game of the season.
Antonio enjoyed a mixed reception this time around.
Michail Antonio on the wing is what makes us good

He did have the chance to make the score 2-0 just a minute before the Hammers conceded the equaliser.
People not blaming Antonio for that miss.
Imagine if it was Valencia…

West Ham’s poor form on the road in Europe continued following a late goal from Alibec.
We'll still go through but that performance is just not acceptable. Same with the Domzale away leg.
