Liverpool have accepted a £27 million bid from Crystal Palace for the Belgium international striker Christian Benteke according to The Sun.

Per-the-source Benteke is on his way to London to undergo a medical with the Eagles. The report state that the transfer fee could rise to £32m with add-ons.

Palace already had multiple bids rejected for the powerful striker by Liverpool however,  The Times claimed that Alan Pardew’s side tabled an improved offer following the sale of Yannick Bolasie to Everton.

Liverpool want to sell Benteke and head coach Jurgen Klopp has made it clear he has no plans for him next season after dropping him from the team that beat Arsenal 4-3.

The Sun go onto state that Benteke could be included in Palace’s squad which takes on Tottenham this weekend in the Premier League.

Benteke provided six assists and scored ten goals in 42 appearances for Liverpool last season. If the deal goes though the Reds will recoup almost all of the £32.5m fee Liverpool paid for Benteke last summer.
