(Video) Andre Gray magic seals Burnley win as questions asked of Liverpool defence

Liverpool fell to defeat at Burnley on Saturday, with Sam Vokes and Andre Gray scoring the goals to hand Sean Dyche’s men their first points of the Premier League season.

After falling to defeat at home to Swansea City last weekend, the pressure was on Dyche and his players to bounce back against the Reds.

In contrast, Liverpool arrived having already claimed a 4-3 win over Arsenal, but Jurgen Klopp’s side were unable to build on that win as their defensive woes continue to haunt them.

While few will question their attacking quality, that’s now five goals conceded in two Premier League games for Liverpool so far, and they will have to address that moving forward if they have genuine hopes of competing at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, Daniel Sturridge returned to the starting line-up but wasn’t able to have the desired impact, with Klopp unlikely to be too pleased with the performance and result on the whole.

Nevertheless, there was a great deal of quality from Burnley’s point of view in both goals, with Gray doing well to carve open a chance for himself before cooly applying the finishing touch to send his effort past Simon Mignolet.

Liverpool will now look to bounce back in their next league outing away at Tottenham next weekend, while Burnley travel to Chelsea looking to build on their impressive win as they look to avoid living up to their tag as relegation candidates.
