West Ham want Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony loan but may only be able to sign the Ivory Coast international on a six-month deal according to the Telegraph.
The report claims that the experienced striker has a deal in place with an unnamed Chinese Super League club which is set to go ahead in January.
Despite the reported Chinese interest Skybet slashed the Hammers odds from outsiders down to clear favourites at odds of 1.4 on Monday.
Considering the Hammers will be without record signing Andrew Ayew for four-months due to injury a six-month loan deal for Bony may be still be a worthwhile pursuit as a temporary fix.
The East London based outfit could however, face competition from Arsenal who despite priced at 8.00 to sign Bony are being linked with a £30 million move according to the Daily Star.
The experienced striker is likely to leave City this summer after falling out of favour with head coach Pep Guardiola.
