Liverpool transfer news: Besiktas offer star defender exit route, Stoke City also make enquiry

Premier League giants Liverpool want to send Mamadou Sakho out on loan before the end of the transfer window and Stoke City have shown an interest according to the Telegraph.

The report claims that Stoke head coach Mark Hughes is has made an enquiry regarding the availability of the 26-year-old.

Stoke could face competition from Besiktas who have made an enquiry regarding the availability of Sakho on loan a source close to the club told Emre Sarigul.

The centre-back is expected to leave over the summer but Liverpool only want a temporary move for the powerful defender.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp had a bust up with the defender over the pre-season and that is believed to have played a role in the latest decision.

Sakho reportedly turned up late for training during pre-sesaon, was late for a team flight from Liverpool to California last month and also turned up for a team meal late after missing a treatment session for his injury.
