(Video) Danny Rose rescues point for Tottenham as Liverpool rue missed chance

Tottenham left-back Danny Rose earned his side a point on Saturday with a second-half equaliser against Liverpool at White Hart Lane.

James Milner had given the visitors the lead from the penalty spot after Erik Lamela had dragged down Roberto Firmino in the box.

However, this effort from Rose was enough to ensure that the two sides were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.

It could have been a very different story had Liverpool made their dominance pay in the opening 45 minutes, but instead Jurgen Klopp’s men were unable to kill the game off and that in turn was always going to lead to the danger of Spurs getting back into it.

The results ensures that Tottenham remain unbeaten so far this season with one win and two draws, while Liverpool have a win, a draw and a defeat from their opening three games of the campaign.

Both sides had chances to win it in the second half with Sadio Mane having an effort ruled out for offside while Toby Alderweireld headed over.

However, Michel Vorm deserves a special mention after he was able to keep out Sane and Philippe Coutinho in the first half with some crucial interventions.

Nevertheless, given the circumstances, both teams will be pleased with a draw, although Liverpool should of perhaps had the game won before Tottenham fought their way back into it.
