Cesc Fabregas delivers emphatic response to Chelsea exit talk and addresses Antonio Conte relationship

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has rebuffed suggestions that Antonio Conte has told him that he can leave the club ahead of the deadline.

It had been reported over the weekend that the Spanish international could be set to leave Stamford Bridge with Conte open to letting him move on as he doesn’t fit into his plans.

Fabregas has struggled to establish himself in the Italian tactician’s starting line-up so far this season, as he dropped back to the bench for the win over Burnley on the weekend despite playing a crucial role in the winning goal at Watford the week previous.

Instead of moping about the situation though, the former Arsenal and Barcelona ace has delivered a passionate riposte and denied claims that he has been told by Conte that he can leave.

Further, the 29-year-old insisted that he would continue to fight for his place and give his best to contribute to Chelsea’s success this year, while his aim remains to help the club continue to win trophies.

The Blues have started off on a positive note with three wins in as many games in the Premier League so far, with the international break giving Conte a chance to regroup, make additions if possible ahead of the transfer deadline and get his ideas across.

It appears as though Fabregas will remain a part of that strategy, with the media told in no uncertain terms that he intends on staying in west London for the foreseeable future.
