Leicester City have stuck a €35 million agreement with Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani according to Goal [via Sky Sport Italia].

Per the source, the Premier League champions have been linked with the Algerian international all summer and have finally manage to land their target.

Slimani will boost the Foxes attacking line if he is able to replicate anywhere near the form he showed for the Portuguese giants last season.

During the 2015-16 Sporting CP campaign, Slimani scored 27 goals in Primeira Liga – second in the league behind Benfica striker Jonas, plus one goal in the Champions League, one in the Europa League and one in the Taca de Portugal – which is more than star striker Jamie Vardy’s 24 goals last season last season.

Slimani also had three goals for Algeria in two appearances at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Sporting signed the 28-year-old forward for just £255k from Algerian outfit CR Belouizdad back in 2013.
