Galatasaray star Lukas Podolski paid his respect to former Germany national teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger on Wednesday.
The ex Arsenal striker is renowned for being one of the most active social media users in football and could not hold back from sending a shout out to Schweinsteiger on his official Twitter account.
Both players were involved in the 2014 World Cup triumph and also featured in Euro 2016 this summer.
Schweinsteiger was be given the chance to play his farewell game against Finland at Borussia Park in Monchengladbach on Wednesday.
Podolski was the third highest goal scorer in German but hasn’t scored a goal for the national team in a competitive game in more than four years.
