Six and a half fun-filled years ago Arsenal sent a teenage Jack Wilshere out on loan to Bolton Wanderers.
During five months at the Reebok Stadium, Wilshere made 14 appearances with the no.32 on his back.
The 24-year-old has now been reunited with that squad number after it was given to him by Bournemouth on his latest loan adventure.
Wilshere will make his debut for Bournemouth this afternoon when the Cherries host AC Milan in Warren Cummings’ testimonial.
For the past five seasons, Wilshere has been Arsenal’s no.10, after starting first-team life as no.19.
Arsenal have not reassigned no.10 following Wilshere’s loan exit, so presumably he will reclaimed it upon his return to the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.
Wilshere’s competitive Bournemouth debut is likely to come next weekend when Eddie Howe’s men taken on West Bromwich Albion at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth have also handed a start to Tyrone Mings, who missed nearly all of last season through injury.
