England boss shows faith in Manchester City and Pep Guardiola outcast

England’s newly appointed manager Sam Allardyce has shown faith in Manchester City’s out-of-favour goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The 31-year-old was forced out of City this summer and joined the Serie A side Torino last last month in search of first-team football. The Citizen’s boss Pep Guardiola instead opted to sign the Chile national team keeper Omar Bravo from Barcelona.

However, Big Sam kept faith in Hart and included him in England’s starting line-up which took on Slovakia this evening. The experinced keeper put on an assured display and added another clean sheet to his tally.

The Liverpool star Adam Lallana scored the games only goal when he found the back of the net in the 90 + 5 minute. Meanwhile the former Liverpool man Martin Skrtel was sent off after 57 minutes after stamping on Harry Kane’s leg.

England’s next fixture is against Spain in November for an international friendly.
