Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane is reportedly set to see his pay more than double.
Spurs striker Kane is currently on £50,000 a week basic, according to The Mirror, who claim that wage will soon rise to around £120,000.
The Mirror report that Kane and Spurs have already opened contract talks, which were prompted in some part by the signing of Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United on Transfer Deadline Day.
Sissoko – who was bought off Newcastle for £30m per Sky Sports – penned a £5m-a-year deal, so say The Mirror.
That means Sissoko is currently on much more than Kane, but that won’t be the case once these new proposed terms become a reality.
A weekly wage of £120,000 works out at £6.24m a year and, incredibly, £17,142.86 a day. And that’s not even per working day. That’s seven days a week.
Kane will become Tottenham’s highest paid player if and when this gets finalised.
