West Ham chairman David Gold and current England boss Sam Allardyce are no strangers considering Big Sam coached the Hammers before being replaced by Slaven Bilic.

Allardyce’s departure from the East London based outfit was announced within minutes of West Ham’s 2-0 loss at Newcastle United back in 2014.

The experienced manager moved quickly to quash rumours that there was a conflict with the owners and revealed that the decision was mutually agreed upon.

Allardyce was quoted by the BBC as saying: “I didn’t want to stay. I suppose you could say it was mutual if they didn’t want me to stay either.”

Gold obviously still respects his former team manager and sent out a tweet from his official Twiter account of a picture from the head coach during his time at the club.
