Man Utd wonder-kid scores on fourth debut

Manchester United wonder-kid Marcus Rashford has developed a reputation as the king of debuts after scoring in his fourth debut display.

The young striker scored a hat-trick as Gareth Southgate’s England U21 side trounced Norway U21s 6-1 at Colchester Community Stadium.

Rashford has now scored goals on four debuts over the last seven months including his maiden game for United, his first game in the Premier League and his debut for senior England national team side.

The 18-year-old was however, left out of Sam Allardyce’s senior England national team selection against Slovakia in the opening round of 2018 World Cup qualification game.

Rashford has also failed to win over United boss Jose Mourinho who has yet to give him a start in the Premier League – although it is worth noting he has players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of him in the pecking order.

Rashford debuts:

Manchester United first-team debut – 25 February 2016, United 5-1 Midtjylland, Europa League, Old Trafford (two goals)

Premier League – 28 February 2016, United 3-2 Arsenal, Old Trafford (two goals)

England senior team – 27 May 2016, England 2-1 Australia, Stadium of Light (one goal)

England Under-21s – 6 September 2016, England 6-1 Norway, Colchester Community Stadium (hat-trick)
