Staggering full list of £600m-plus worth of talent on show in game labelled ‘most expensive match ever’ between Man United and Man City

The Manchester derby this weekend will see two sides packed pull of expensive talent do battle as Man United face bitter rivals Man City at Old Trafford.

The two star-studded line-ups are amongst the most expensive in the Premier League, and in turn it will set a new record for the most expensive match in the history of the English top flight, as noted by Sky Sports in the tweet seen below.

Given absences, including Sergio Aguero who misses out through suspension, the total figure could have potentially been even higher, but with the two sides averaging around £330m in total, it still produces some eye-watering figures.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the only player to arrive without costing a penny in terms of a transfer fee, with the Swede arguably having the biggest impact of any player involved so far this season with three Premier League goals in as many games.

However, both teams have started with three victories in three outings, and both Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola will hope to make it four as they look to ensure that the vast amount of money being spent at their club shows signs that they will be competing for silverware on various fronts this year.
