Manchester City summer signing Ilkay Gundogan has been declared fit ahead of this weekend’s Manchester derby according to ESPN.
The report states that both Gundogan and Leroy Sane could make their debut in the derby against United. New keeper Claudio Bravo is also expected to start in goal for the Citizens.
Per-the-source, Gundogan was sidelined for the opening weeks of the season after dislocating his kneecap while at Borussia Dortmund – prior to joining City for £21 million over the summer.
The Germany international has however, recovered and returned to training. City will be without star Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero, who received a ban after elbowing Winston Reid during the victory over West Ham.
Man Utd have gotten off the the perfect start under Jose Mourinho with three wins in three games. Man City have also made a strong start under Pep Guardiola picking up maximum points from their opening three matches.
