(Video) Zlatan Ibrahimovic cheers himself up after Manchester derby defeat by heading to London to watch Gennady Golovkin fight

Despite scoring in the derby on Saturday, Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic was unable to prevent his side falling to a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.

Given the magnitude of the game and that it was United’s first loss of the season after making such an impressive start to the campaign, it would have undoubtedly been a difficult one to take for all concerned.

However, Ibrahimovic didn’t want to dwell on it for too long, as he made his way south to the O2 Arena on Saturday night to watching Gennady Golovkin take on Kell Brook.

The Brit was stepping up two weight divisions to face the man dubbed the pound-for-pound king of boxing, and was unsuccessful in his bid to topple him after being stopped in the fifth round.

Ibrahimovic grabbed a ringside seat to follow the action, not before posing for pictures with fighters on the bill and fans as he appeared to be enjoying himself.

The big Swede got plenty of attention, but after enjoying a break away from football, he’ll be back on the training pitch in no time and leading by example as United hope to bounce back against Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday.

Since arriving at Old Trafford earlier this summer, the former AC Milan and Barcelona star has netted five goals in as many games as he continues to enjoy an impressive start to life in England.
