An Olivier Giroud red card spoiled a good night for Arsenal as the Gunners earned what could be a valuable point by holding PSG to a 1-1 draw in Paris.
Despite being outplayed on the night, Arsenal were level on 78 minutes when Alexis Sanchez cancelled out an early opener from Edinson Cavani, who should have scored many more.
With the seconds ticking towards full time, Giroud was shown a red card.
At first, it seemed harsh.
However, this video proves that it was totally deserved and that the Frenchman was plain stupid.
Giroud, who was sent off in matchday one of last season’s Champions League too, was already on a yellow card when he shoved Marco Verratti in an off-the-ball incident.
Verratti will be fine, sure, but Giroud had no reason to do what he did.
And the referee had no option other than to send him off.
loooool Giroud https://t.co/IfAZvh3xsJ

The game finished 10 v 10 because Verratti himself was then sent off, moments after Giroud.
