The Germany international midfielder Ilkay Gundogan will make his Manchester City debut tonight in their clash with Borussia Monchengladbach tonight.
The Citizen’s host the Bundesliga giants at the Etihad Stadium in their opening UEFA Champions League group stage clash.
The fixture was initially scheduled to be played on Tuesday however, the game was postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
Gundogan was not included in Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up yesterday however, the Spanish tactician has had a change of mind since. Guardiola has decided to hand Gundogan his City debut, the 25-year-old will play in midfield alongside Fernandinho and Kevin De Bruyne.
Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero has returned to the starting line-up. Aguero missed Saturday’s derby after receiving a suspension after allegedly elbowing West Ham’s Winston Reid in the face.
Gundogan joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund over the summer for £20 million according to the BBC.
