If you thought Paul Pogba’s transfer fee was nuts then the reported asking price of Manchester United target Grigoris Kastanos might just blow your mind.
Kastanos is an 18-year-old who has yet to play a senior club match in his entire career. However, according to The Sun – who claim that Everton are also keen on the player – current club Juventus will only sell for £17m.
The Sun report that Kastanos is set to be offered a new contract at Juve and that he is one of their most prized assets.
Although he has not yet turned out for his club side, Kastanos has been capped three times by Cyprus at senior international level.
His latest appearance for his country came in a 3-0 defeat to Belgium. That game saw him face off in midfield with Marouane Fellaini, who could become his Old Trafford teammate if United are successful in their transfer pursuit.
