Manchester United are preparing a new deal for their star teenager Marcus Rashford according to The Sun.
The news comes despite United renewing Rashford’s contract over the summer. Per-the-source the Red Devils are lining up a £50,000-a-week offer for the England international.
The wage hike will make Rashford the highest paid teenager in football. The 18-year-old burst onto the stage last season under Louis van Gaal and earned himself a surprise call up to the England national team for Euro 2016.
United are understood to be keen to fend off potential interest from abroad and want to avoid a situation where Rashford’s contract is allowed to run into its last 18 months.
Rashford made his first Premier League start of the season today for United’s clash with Watford FC. The pacy forward also started for the Red Devuls agaisnt Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday night.
