Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney had an afternoon to forget on Sunday as the Red Devils succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Watford FC.
The England international played the full 90 minutes in midfield for Jose Mourinho’s side but failed to dictate the tempo of the game.
Rooney has been a Manchester United player for 12 years but fans are fast losing patience with the former Everton man.
Following the game we took to social media to see how Rooney’s performance went down with the fans. It’s safe to say United supporters were not happy with Rooney’s performance with some calling the 30-year-old an ’embarrassment.’

The Red Devils have endured a difficult week following three consecutive defeats. Jose Mourinho’s side have lost to Manchester City, Feyenoord and Watford FC in the space of eight days.
United currently find themselves in seventh place with nine points in five games. Fans will be hoping Rooney can up his game in time for this weekends encounter with the Premier League champions Leicester City.
