Liverpool have one of the most impressive squads in the Premier League, which is great, but it must give manager Jurgen Klopp some serious selection headaches.

Reds fans will have to make tough selection decisions of their own later this month when FIFA 17 hits the shelves.

In anticipation of EA Sports’ big launch, we got our hands on the game’s player ratings (from weFUT.com) and used them to put together the best Liverpool XI according to FIFA 17 ratings.

Subs:
Mignolet (78)
Lucas (80)
Henderson (80)
Can (80)
Mane (79)
Klavan (78)
Origi (78)

There is no complex science behind this team. We simply got the 11 players with the highest scores and fortunately they fit fairly nicely into a 4-2-3-1 formation.

In truth, Liverpool’s best FIFA XI is not overly dissimilar to the teams that Klopp has picked for real so far this season.

However, Mamadou Sahko is Liverpool’s joint-third best player virtually but not in reality, at least not in the mind of Klopp, who has yet to play the Frenchman at all this season.

Reds captain Jordan Henderson has been the main man in Klopp’s midfield in recent weeks, but, with a FIFA 17 rating of just 80, the skipper is only deemed worthy of a place on the bench.

Reserves:
Manninger (73)
Moreno (77)
Ings (77)
Ilori (75)
Stewart (72)
Brannagan (70)
