EFL Cup Draw – Man City draw rivals Man Utd

Manchester City will take on rival Manchester United in the EFL Cup fourth round following the results of the draw.

City breezed past Swansea City, beating the Swans 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium to progress while United struggled against Northampton – winning 3-1 after the first half ended with a 1-1 draw.

United may have spent more money over the summer but City are the in form side right now having won all nine games under recently appointed manger Pep Guardiola.

City did also recently beat United 2-1 at Old Trafford in the first Manchester derby of the season at Old Trafford.

The match will be played on 24 October and will once again take place at Old Trafford.

City boss Pep Guardiola have a long history them stretching back across 16 matches, seven years and five clubs.

Guardiola has the upper hand recording eight victories while Mourinho has won three and six games have ended in a draw.
