Identity of Man United mole revealed by Old Trafford insider

CaughtOffside can exclusively reveal the identity of the Man United mole.

According to our source at Old Trafford, captain Wayne Rooney has been the player talking to the press about the team’s feelings towards under-fire manager Jose Mourinho.

It is stressed that Rooney is not trying to force Mourinho out or even pile extra pressure upon the former Chelsea boss. The 30-year-old has simply spoken openly and honestly about the mood in the camp.

Gary Neville took to Twitter earlier today to let off steam as he expressed his ’embarrassment’ at leaks coming from the Man United dressing room.

The former Red Devils captain suggested that there was a Man United mole on the loose.

Neville’s concern comes after The Times and The Telegraph published articles which hinted at discontent among players regarding Mourinho’s methods.

The Times revealed earlier this week that left-back Luke Shaw was injured during Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at Watford and that some of his teammates were “shocked” by Mourinho’s decision to keep him on and then criticise his performance.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph article – which Neville directly responded to when he launched his latest Twitter rant – began with the headline: “Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho’s criticism of players ‘nastier and more personal than Sir Alex Ferguson’s ever was’”.

Rooney has started all five of United’s Premier League matches so far this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
