Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has labelled leaks from the current dressing room as “embarrassing” as Jose Mourinho has come in for criticism.
Neville was responding to an article in The Telegraph, with a source claiming that United boss Mourinho’s criticism of players is ‘nastier and more personal than Sir Alex Ferguson ever was’, as seen in the tweet below.

It’s obviously not revealed who the source is, but evidently someone has been talking and filling the media in about on-goings in the dressing room and the atmosphere around the club since Mourinho arrived, comparing it to Ferguson’s tenure and thus whittling down the likely culprits.
The season started well for the Red Devils as they won their first three games of the Premier League campaign, but ultimately it’s gone a bit wrong with three defeats in eight days in all competitions.
United will be desperate to avoid seeing that losing streak extend any further with the club facing Northampton in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, but talk in the media and on social networks is about the leaks and who the mole is.
Again, there is no confirmation from any source as to who the person leaking information is, but speculation on Twitter appears to be pointing the finger at one player in particular, with captain Wayne Rooney seemingly in the firing line for supporters right now.
@GNev2 if something’s been leaked, it’s by someone who has played under SAF.. so that narrows it down to about 4 players..
