The Danish international playmaker Christian Eriksen has expressed his delight upon captaining his side during their win over Gillingham in the League Cup last night.
The 24-year-old stated that it was a ‘special’ night for him and that he is pleased with the two goals he scored.
Eriksen shared a picture of himself along with the caption, “Was very special to be Captain at The Lane yesterday! And scoring 2 goals + thru to the next round.”
The former Ajax star is expected to start for Tottenham when they take on the newly promoted Middlesbrough in the Premier League this weekend.
