Stan Collymore not a fan of Liverpool star Jordan Henderson despite wondergoal against Chelsea

The former England international and football pundit Stan Collymore has stated that he is yet to be convinced by Liverpool star midfielder Jordan Henderson.

Writing in his Mirror column, Collymore says that despite Henderson’s wondergoal agaisnt Chelsea last week, the 26-year-old needs to do more on a consistent basses.

Collymore, who previously played for Liverpool, wants to see Henderson score ‘six or seven’ goals this season.

“Henderson responded with the goal which settled matters — an absolute cracker , too — but I’m still reserving judgement until he has scored six or seven this season, including a couple of tap-ins,” Collymore wrote in his column.

“To be a central midfielder for Liverpool , you have to be multi-faceted. You have to provide the assists, the long-range passes, short-range passes and goals.”

Henderson joined Liverpool for £15 million from Sunderland back in July 2011. The England international has gone onto cement his place in the Reds starting line up and has stated all five games for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season.

The Reds take on Arsenal this weekend and go into the game in high spirits following back-to-back wins over Chelsea and Leicester City.

Henderson is expected to start for Liverpool after being rested earlier this week during the Reds cup win over Derby.
