Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly keeping tabs on Brazilian starlet Yuri, as the Under-17 ace continues to impress for the Santos youth team.

The youngster has already represented Brazil at Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 levels, while he’s bagged an impressive haul of 40 goals in 28 games for his club’s youth team this year.

In turn, as reported Sambafoot, the Gunners are monitoring his progress with the possibility of making a move further down the line.

The teenager’s agent is said to have insisted that they don’t envisage leaving Santos any time soon, but if he continues to impress with his goal-scoring exploits, the calls for him to move to a major club in Europe will only grow louder.

It’s added in the report that both Manchester United and Manchester City are also interested, but it remains to be seen which Premier League giant pushes their way to the front of the queue as it will undoubtedly be a fierce race to sign Yuri if he continues on his current trajectory.

Wenger has a history of signing talented youngsters and developing them into top players, and naturally he will hope to have the opportunity to do the same thing in this instance as and when Yuri and his agent believe the time is right to consider a move away from his homeland.
