Arsenal vs Chelsea – Probable lineups – Wenger to make decision regarding Xhaka

Posted by

Arsenal take on Chelsea in today’s evening fixture as they look to record their first Premier League win over the Blues in five years.

Arsene Wenger’s side have also failed to score against Chelsea in their last six league encounters. The clash also marks the French tactician’s 20th year anniversary in-charge at Arsenal.

The Gunners star playmaker Mesut Ozil is expected to return to Arsenal’s starting eleven after being rested during the week.

Wenger will however, have a decision to make regarding his central midfielders today. The French tactician is under pressure to field summer signing Granit Xhaka who has scored two goals in his last two games.

Arsenal come into today’s game on back of consecutive league wins over Southampton and Hull City. Meanwhile, Chelsea’s impressive start to the season under Antonio Conte came to an abrupt end following a 2-2 draw to Swansea and a defeat to Liverpool last week.

Chelsea did however, defeat Leicester City in the League Cup during the week.
