Mamadou Sakho could learn from his under-fire Liverpool teammate who earns high praise from Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno hasn’t started a Premier League game since the opening weekend of the season, but he’s definitely doing something right.

The Spaniard was heavily criticised for his display against Arsenal, following on from last season where his defensive abilities were brought into the spotlight.

After a string of errors, Klopp has ultimately decided to make a change, but that hasn’t stopped the German tactician from being delighted with his player’s reaction in training.

At a time when Mamadou Sakho is being snubbed and is posting late night Snapchats about his situation at Anfield, as noted by Sky Sports, it sounds like he could learn a thing or two from his teammate.

“To be honest, one of the best players in training in the last few weeks has been Alberto Moreno,” Klopp noted when speaking to the media this past weekend. “He took the situation [being dropped] brilliantly and is in a really good moment.”

Moreno has been caught out defensively regularly since moving to Merseyside, and it has led to plenty of scrutiny from certain supporters and pundits alike.

Nevertheless, he deserves credit for getting his head down and working hard to get back into the team, and Klopp will be hoping that he can improve on his concentration levels to avoid being a defensive liability, as he undoubtedly brings plenty of positives to the team too.

As for Sakho, although he has been frozen out, using social media to vent his frustration and speak out against his manager probably isn’t the smartest thing to do.
