Daniel Sturridge could make a massive drop down the table

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturrudge has had his moments for Klopp’s Liverpool, with a few special goals and memorable performances over the last 12 months. Unfortunately for the England striker, his persistent injury problems have always prevented him from becoming a truly untouchable first team player.

No sooner does Danny work his way back into the side than he is hit by another minor niggle and forced to miss games. Players like Divock Origi and Philipe Coutinho have played so well in Sturridge’s many absences that he then finds it hard to break back into the side again when he’s fit.

Reports in Italy are that several Premier League clubs lower down the table are willing to take a huge gamble on the striker’s fitness to fire them out of the relegation zone. Calcio Mercato report that Stoke, Sunderland and West Ham are the three sides who are pushing for a January move for the England striker.

A permanent move might be a little tricky, as Sturridge won’t want to risk relegation with one of the three, but a 6 month loan deal could do wonders for the player and the club, if he’s able to play consistently and score goals.
