Italian giants target out-of-favour Man United star and struggling Premier League striker

AC Milan will reportedly consider moves for both Man United winger Memphis Depay and West Ham United forward Simone Zaza.

Depay arrived at Old Trafford last year with big expectations as one of Louis van Gaal’s marquee signings, but the Dutch international has struggled to make the desired impact.

The 22-year-old scored just seven goals and provided seven assists in 48 appearances for the club last season, while he’s played just six minutes of Premier League football so far this year as he continues to struggle to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans.

In turn, Tuttomercatoweb report that he’ll be targeted by Milan next year, with the Rossoneri set to be boosted by having significant transfer funds when the takeover of the club is completed by a Chinese consortium by the end of 2016.

That is expected to give Vincenzo Montella the freedom to sign quality individuals in the transfer window, but it remains to be seen as to whether or not he is able to land his preferred targets.

In addition, Tuttomercatoweb note that Zaza could also be on the Serie A side’s radar, with the Italian international not enjoying the best of starts to life in England.

Having now made four appearances in all competitions, the former Juventus striker has yet to find the back of the net for the Hammers, who are really struggling so far this season as they currently sit in 18th place in the Premier League table.

Slaven Bilic will be expecting Zaza to get on the scoresheet sooner rather than later and to help his side move up the table. However, if the 25-year-old’s struggles continue, it may lead to speculation of a move to Milan intensifying, with the above report insisting that the Rossoneri still hold an interest in him after missing out in the summer.
