(Video) Playercam films embarrassing footage of Daniel Sturridge as Liverpool striker struggles at Swansea City

Remember when Sky Sports had the Playercam option on their red button?

It was pretty crap, in truth. I mean, nobody wants to watch live football like that.

However, it was pretty cool for replays. And Twitter user @Alvarovic brought Playercam back to life this afternoon – albeit with very poor production values – as he captured an embarrassing 24-second clip of Daniel Sturridge struggling during the first half of Swansea City v Liverpool.

Off-the-ball movement? What’s that!?

Sturridge is seen standing still, just waiting for the ball to come his way. And when it finally does, his touch is pretty horrible.

After coming on for injured midfielder Adam Lallana midway through the first half, Sturridge has been very poor.

His one big moment of involvement saw him tumble in the penalty area. But, instead of earning a spot-kick, he picked up a deserved yellow card for diving.

Swansea lead 1-0 at half time thanks to an eighth-minute tap-in by Leroy Fer.
